Hands and Feet: Mom's Feet

This is a photo of my Mom's feet lying on a table, I used this photo for my Hands and Feet roll. I like this photo a lot because the feet are the center of the photo and are the only things in focus in both the fore and background. I also like how the shadows kind of make the feet pop more, and you can see some of the creases in her feet.

Depth of Field: Leaf

This is a picture of a crumpled leaf on a brick walk way, I used it for my Depth of  Field roll. I like the depth of field because everything from the leaf in the foreground to the steps in the background is in focus. I also like the pattern of the bricks and of the white statues in the backgrounds. I also feel like the shadows help me draw my eye to the right place.

Shutter Speed: Koo and Bouncy Ball.

This is a photo of my friend Koo, bouncing a small ball with her hand. I used this photo for my shutter speed roll. I like this photo because while she as moving at the time, with a shutter speed of 1/500 she was frozen in action. I also like how the lighting is lighter on the edges but when it gets to the subject it darkens, drawing action to her.

Leading Lines: White Fence

This is a picture of a white fence in my neighborhood, I used this for a Leading Lines roll. I like this photo because of the fence leading your eye to the back of the photo. I also love the shadows and the emotions they convey towards this photo.

Architecture: Boar's Head Fountains

These are the interesting vent-like fountains at the Boar's Head Pavilion, they flow into a bed of flowers and rocks. This was for my Architecture roll, and I like it because the fountains are unique and have good lighting.

People With Interesting Backgrounds: Candid Kroger

This is a photo of an aisle at Kroger that I used for my People With Interesting Backgrounds roll. I like it because of the lighting and how there is different spots of action going on in all parts of the photo. I also like the contrast and to me it is just an interesting photo.

Framing: Boar's Head

I took this picture at Boar's Head. The sun had enough light and a good position to give the picture good lighting, and the building is noticeably framed by the tree branch in front of it. I chose this photo because of the good lighting, and framing, and because of the long depth of field. I also liked how the lake adds to a more serene atmosphere but still showing the radiance of the light.
