Still Life: Lamp

This is a photo of a crystal lamp in front of a window I did this for my Still Life roll. I like this photo because of the lighting and the way it brings out the crystal and casts a dramatic effect on the rest of the photo.

High Contrast: Traffic

This is a photo of traffic in town, it was just an original high contrast photo until I solaroled it. I like this photo because there is a lot going on in the photo, and the solarol really brings that out. I also like how texturized the car in the foreground of the photo looks.

Vintage: Power Case

This is a picture of my great grandmother's powder case sepia toned, I did it for my Vintage role. I think this photo because of the lighting and the shadows, I like how the shadows contrast the other side of the top of the case. I also like the antique feel of the picture.

Hands and Feet: Mom's Feet

This is a photo of my Mom's feet lying on a table, I used this photo for my Hands and Feet roll. I like this photo a lot because the feet are the center of the photo and are the only things in focus in both the fore and background. I also like how the shadows kind of make the feet pop more, and you can see some of the creases in her feet.

Depth of Field: Leaf

This is a picture of a crumpled leaf on a brick walk way, I used it for my Depth of  Field roll. I like the depth of field because everything from the leaf in the foreground to the steps in the background is in focus. I also like the pattern of the bricks and of the white statues in the backgrounds. I also feel like the shadows help me draw my eye to the right place.

Shutter Speed: Koo and Bouncy Ball.

This is a photo of my friend Koo, bouncing a small ball with her hand. I used this photo for my shutter speed roll. I like this photo because while she as moving at the time, with a shutter speed of 1/500 she was frozen in action. I also like how the lighting is lighter on the edges but when it gets to the subject it darkens, drawing action to her.

Leading Lines: White Fence

This is a picture of a white fence in my neighborhood, I used this for a Leading Lines roll. I like this photo because of the fence leading your eye to the back of the photo. I also love the shadows and the emotions they convey towards this photo.
